Recorded in five days, it debuted at #143 on the Billboard 200, selling 6,469 copies in its first week and climbed to #1 on the Billboard album chart in early March and again in late March 2006. On May 23, 2006, the same day the DVD came out, Walt Disney Records released a Special Edition of the album featuring a bonus disc with eight karaoke tracks of "Start of Something New", "Get'cha Head In The Game", "What I've Been Looking For", "When There Was Me And You", "Bop to the Top", "Breaking Free", "We're All In This Together" and "I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" (which was edited from the movie).
